- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have had 3 of my children with Dr. Johnson up until 3 years ago due to moving to Portsmouth(over 8 years with this practice)...I will however be having my 4th child next week and asked Dr. Johnson's office if he would be able to see my child at the hospital and followup, I was told no..."once you leave the practice for another in the area you cannot come back"...wow! Didn't know that was a rule they have...the"rule" seems more about feelings than patient care...we only left because of location...Dr. Johnson has privileges at Sentara Leigh and General only that would mean a 25 min ride to Leigh in the eventhe of an emergency with one of our children but anything can happen in that time frame...their "rule" doesn't seem sensible concidering the reason for our departure was purely based upon the concern for our children's timely healthcare...I am sorely disappointed in this practice for that especially since they referred us to our current pediatric practice!January 18, 2017by Danielle Griffith
